I’m hearing that either this was a tribute to Fela Kuti or African culture as a whole. This really doesn’t make me feel any better that Jay-Z co-produced the broadway play Fela!…
I wonder what Fela himself would say about this mockery???…

What do they know about Africa in America. Furthermore, Beyonce could have remained in her own skin colour. There are many African women that have her skin colour.
I cannot say looking at this again what the idea was. It's unusual.
