New Creations in Store for 2013!

Those who support Tribal Immunity support my craft. Most of my pieces are pre-made clothing that I choose and revamp with a tribal touch :) This year, it is my mission to bring actual Tribal Immunity designed clothing to the people. That's right, I'm currently in the process of designing a collection of dresses. I want this new vision for Tribal Immunity to bring comfort and style to queens of all shapes and sizes. As I have struggled throughout my life to find clothing to fit my unique and beautiful body-type, I wanted those just like me to experience comfort in their size and shapes as well. Many designers cater to smaller sizes, making it difficult for women like myself who are considered "plus-sized" to find garments that fit. I hope to continue to celebrate African life through my painting, and now celebrate wombmanhood through more versatile clothing!

The Coronation Dashiki tee

The Coronation Collection was one of my most creative and spiritually connecting collections. This collection was born from research I was doing on Traditional Ethiopian garments. My first creation was the Ithiopia dashiki tee, and that lead me to find deeper meaning in the garments of HIM Haile Selassie I and Empress Menen.

The way we dress is a direct reflection of who we are and what we want to represent as people. The Coronation Dashiki tee is intricately hand-painted with pride, and is intended to be worn by prideful people!

This Coronation Dashiki tee is special because it is an abstract replica of the regalia worn by Emperor Haile Selassie I and Empress Menen Asfaw on their Coronation day. This dashiki is the signature piece of the Coronation Collection.

The Harar Dashiki tee is a special addition to the Coronation Collection. It celebrates the Coronation Day, in a more subtle, yet regal way. The Harar design is named after the place of Emperor Haile Selassie I's birth, the province of Harar, Ethiopia on July 23, 1892

The Hand-painted Dashiki Tee

Throughout Africa and the Diaspora the Dashiki is worn in during ceremonies, cultural gatherings, and everyday fashion. The Tribal Immunity hand-painted dashiki tee was inspired by the vibrant and and detailed designs of the traditional dashiki. This technique has made an already functional piece of clothing even more functional. Combining the African pride of the dashiki with the comfort and style of the t-shirt, the dashiki tee has become one of Tribal Immunity's signature pieces.

Wear it alone, with accessories, or under your favorite blazer for a colorful, hand-painted touch!
